Ironic, isn’t it, that all this time we’ve been making fun of that “heck of a job, Brownie,” remark, it turns out that “Brownie” may have been the only high-ranking official in the Bush administration even attempting to take the Hurricane Katrina warnings seriously.
Our leader? Guess he had other pressing matters to attend to, like, planning the next day’s birthday celebration for John McCain. I can’t remember . . . does John like chocolate? Guess not.
Seems that August 29th – the very day that Hurricane Katrina was making landfall in Louisiana – was just full of hilarity for Chump. You can see more photos of the prez yukking it up in all sorts of situations, on the WHITE HOUSE WEBSITE. That’s right. Dateline: August 29th, Hurricane Katrina hits land in the early morning hours and our leader is photographed by official White House photographers, eating cake, ‘sharing a laugh’ and otherwise totally disengaged from one of the most devastating natural disasters to strike our country.
I know I should be over this by now.
But, I’m not.
