No, this is not going to be a serious post. It's hard to be serious during lilac season. Those blossoms seriously scramble my brain waves and make me want to laze around all naked and wanton. It may be GH's favorite time of year.
ah, lilacs, champagne, chocolate and thou
What could be better? Nothing at all, unless one tosses in a bit of knitting. And, look! Here 'tis:
The Bliss baby cardigan in moss stitch is nearly complete. It's taken longer than necessary because, like a fresh spring bee, I've been darting from one project to another for the last month. Nothing wrong with that. I'm enjoying every single stitch and row and hook and needle along the way.
Since our spring vacation, I've reconnected with my inner hooker. A pillow is nearly done (pictures soon) a small handbag for a small neice just needs a button to finish it off, and I've started on a sampling of these to practice reading crochet pattern instructions:
They're made of string. Plain old cotton string. I'm stringing them across the large openings in my clematis trellises. (you didn't really think I was going the poncho route, did you? blech.)
Look how sweet a scrap of Koigu looks crocheted along the edges of the baby cardigan collar.
(sigh) just got a whiff of those lilacs again. Gotta go get naked and do a little Koigu hooker dance.
