The inside of the thrummed mittens . . . wild, huh? Like a blue Medusa.
What? More knitting? OK, so maybe I’ve lost my political edge this week – but it’s not for lack of material. There’s plenty out there that could use some needling. I’d like to use some pointy sticks on this character, or maybe ply some needle felting across the eyeballs of this gas bag, but I sense the general public has experienced a mood change that might accomplish the mission with or without additional encouragement.
I have the back forty to put to bed for winter and I’m running out of time. Yesterday, I planted 130 lily bulbs, mulched, clipped, detangled and disassembled a multitude of summer installments. More to come this weekend.
And, while the greenery outside is fading, green is making a gigantic come-back on my knitting needles. Thrummed mittens in Paton’s Classic Merino ‘Leaf Green’ are just the beginning.
Did I mention? I hate squirrels.
