I warned you there was a bit of loop-mania going on at base-camp ThreadingWater. The Colinette Point 5 experiment started out as a scarf, and turned into this drapey shawl, just in time for a holiday party last night. (You weather-heads out there know the midwest was hit with another big storm yesterday, but I’ve never known a snowstorm that could stop a good party, nosiree.)
The looped scarf piece is attached as a collar along one edge of doubled silk chiffon. A single hook and eye keeps the shawl in place for hands-free buffet grazing, handshakes, hugs and holding a mug of hot chocolate.
A pattern? You’re kidding, right? I ascribe to my Uncle Tim’s philosophy of “make it work.”
