Oh, right. The Alaskan governor currently under investigation for charges that she tried to get her State-employed ex brother-in-law fired because he and her sister were involved in a custody and child support dispute. Sweet. Great family values.

Still, GOP voters are trying to be supportive of McCain’s Veep pick, despite her lightweight credentials as a mayor of her home town of Wasilla (pictured below)
and serving her first term as governor of Alaska (a state with roughly the same population as the city of Detroit) with absolutely no foreign policy experience and the possibility of new ethics scandals in the future, ala Alaskan Republican Ted Stevens.
My favorite quote comes from The Family Research Council. The famously conservative organization praised Palin as “an outstanding pick from the choices that were on the table.”
High praise, indeed.
