Go Away. Do not waste time reading this blog.
Greatest Husband has been ranting lately about the echo chamber of the blogs when it comes to our obsession with Sarah Palin and our frustration with how close this presidential race is, with only weeks to go before the general election. His take? Get off your a** and start working to make sure Obama gets elected instead of sitting in front of your computer screen.
Now, I know many people have child care issues, demanding jobs, limited incomes and/or are terribly uncomfortable with doing doors or making phone calls. I am squarely in the latter category myself. However, GH has a valid point.
So, I ask you, what steps have you taken to volunteer for the Obama campaign? There’s literally NO MORE TIME to sit back and watch or play armchair strategist. You can register people to vote, volunteer to do data entry work for your local campaign office, offer to babysit for someone who is willing to make phone calls or knock on doors, provide transportation for college students who are willing to go door to door, deliver pizza to the campaign office or sweep floors or wash coffee mugs.
Keep sending money if you can afford to do it.
Just don’t spend your time here. Lord knows, I’m not.
There are better – much better uses for my time (and yours) between now and November.
Now, bugger off!
